INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS

 

The purpose of Management Systems is to achieve the best cooperation between all the processes and operations of a company, in order to achieve optimal operation and success. However, often in companies there are several different Management Systems that operate simultaneously and in parallel. Common examples are the Quality Management Systems according to ISO 9001:2015, the Environmental Management Systems according to ISO 14001:2015 and the Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems according to ISO 45001:2018. The individual Management Systems are often intertwined and interact in the same functions and processes of the company. This parallel operation leads to additional work, confusion and pressure and does not allow anyone to see the overall picture clearly.


In such cases, the solution is provided by Integrated Management Systems (IMS). An Integrated Management System takes into account all the processes of the company and addresses all the requirements of quality, environmental protection, health and safety at work and possibly other requirements in an integrated manner as a single Management System. A single Management System means in simple words a System Manual, a set of procedures, a set of Work Instructions and a set of forms with a single coding of the documents.


If the company wishes to be certified, this can be given with separate certificates for each ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 standard. It should be emphasized at this point that several Certification Bodies have designed and can provide a Certificate for the entire Implemented Management System.

The steps followed by PROSPERITY Ltd. for the development and implementation of Integrated Management Systems are the following:


STEP 1. Defining the existing situation - Selection of the Management representative and the Management System Team - Examination of the existing Environmental Impact Study (where available) - Initial environmental analysis - Occupational Risk Assessment.


STEP 2. Definition of processes - Preparation and organization of the Management Manual, procedures, Work Instructions and forms - Occupational Risk Assessment Study.


STEP 3. Monitoring the implementation of the Management System – Conducting an internal audit of the entire Management System – Proposals for corrective actions and monitoring their implementation – Application to a recognized Certification Body.


STEP 4. Certification of the Integrated Management System according to the three standards ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 by an accredited recognized Certification Body.


PROSPERITY Ltd actively participates in all phases of the projects and is responsible for the documentation of the Integrated Management Systems, as well as for the deliverables of each stage according to the agreed project requirements and supports the projects until their completion, which is the award of the certificate.
